Though we do not have a specific "Youth" course, we wanted to let everyone know that Riders under the age of 18 are invited to come and race with us Sunday, May 8th, 2011.
***EDIT*** : At this time, only riders in the U17 and U15 Category will be able to register for the Sport Category.
Please have youth register in the Sport Group, unless they are already licensed to a higher category. Youth will start with the Adults @ 12:00p.m. The registration fees are as follows: Pre-Reg: $25.00 / Race Day: $40.00

ReplyDeleteAre the U9 and U11 also $25/$40 for this race even though it's not one of their cup races? And do they now start with the adults too?
ReplyDeleteWe had come to this decision after talking with the MCA regarding how we could accomodate Youth riders. Currently, we are discussing the age cutoff for Youth riders.
ReplyDeleteThe reason we initally included U17 and under riders was to allow a couple of U17/U15 riders who had mentioned that they were interested in riding in the Sport Category.
We will keep you informed, but as of right now, it doesn't look like youth under the age of 13 will be able to race. We will change this on the blog. We also apologize for any inconvenience, as we are new to the regulations of the MCA.
